Guys. I give up. Since Aydah has been born all I have wanted is ONE family photo of all us and every attempt since has been a disaster! haha! Easter is just one of those days every year that everyone wants a photo of their family. The girls dresses were so cute so I was determined! I also wanted to get WAY more pictures, some of just Em and Aydah and individuals of them. After one family photo attempt we were all pretty much done and Em was begging to get out of her dress! But pictures do not ever tell the whole story anyways right? Easter is a day every year that hits me in way I never expect. It almost blindsides me and it amazes me that I havent figured it out more. This year I sat in church with a three week old on my chest and I couldn’t believe that because Jesus died on the cross and conquered the grave that WE in exchange get to live this life. I just took it all in. Standing next to Andrew, watching Emlyn play with all her friends at church. It is amazing to me. This life would be nothing if it werent for HIS sacrifice He made. The hope of the world rests in his resurrection. In that moment all the hard stuff didn’t seem so hard to me anymore. I was just overcome with thankfulness. That is something that could never be captured.

So this Easter we just spent time with our families and thanked Him that we all had another year together. We have all been through health complications, ups and downs, but we all still have each other. It may have not been a glamorous, highly decorated, pinterest worthy Easter but I think Jesus was smiling down on all of us because family and thankfulness is really where its at. We shared a meal, did an Easter egg hunt and just played and talked about life. It was a great day! My sister and I wanted to grab some photos of my side of the family for my mom for future gifts so we atleast got some of those pictures! Mimi now has 4 grandbabies and this was the first photos with all of them together!
