2015 Best of Ring Shots | Columbus Wedding Photographers
In honor of what we call “Nation Anniversary Day”, we thought a ring shot post was due! This year we decided to break up our best of wedding post into several posts. Each blog will be a separate category of its own. So far we have blogged the best of bride and grooms, and today’s is all about those rings! Details are absolutely my favorite way to start a wedding day. I think details say so much about the day and the couple. I love being able to capture these for our couples because I believe it helps tell their story and gives them something to look back on.
When I look at our rings now, they are tattered and scratched. I like them that way. It reminds me of where we have come from and what we have come through in our marriage. When I look at our couples rings before a wedding ceremony I pray over them. I thank God that they are NEW and vibrant. Getting married is something so exciting and it is a new feeling. It is a new door! I pray that as the scratches and wear and tear marks are placed that they would persevere through the years. We all know marriage isn’t easy. To me there is just so much that a ring says and I love the significance of it being an unending circle, and a new and unblemished ring. Knowing that there will be battles ahead in marriage and that those rings won’t look like this in a few years, I can’t help but want to capture what it was like before their two became one. It is a reminder of what they have been given.
Beyond all the symbolisms I see in rings, they are just plain fun to look at! Here are some of our favorite shots of the year!
Alright! Lets see how many people get engaged for New Years! 😀
