Personal Update | Columbus Ohio Wedding Photographers
These last few days have been like living in the fog. Our sweet girl came down with a cough on Christmas Eve and then it just got worse. Last night I decided to take her to urgent care just to be safe. She has had a 103.2 fever, a cough, runny nose, and a million other symptoms. When she is sick it always seems like that is when God starts really talking to me. Or maybe it is that I am just more apt to listen. Yeah I would say that is probably it. Funny how life has a way of slowing you down and quieting things around you. I always seem to find the most peace when life gets the most chaotic. I am ok with that!
Anyways, we have had a great Christmas break and it has been bittersweet because Andrew starts his new job after the holidays. It will be an adjustment with him gone through the day some but we are excited about the opportunity. We will tell you about it more soon!
We were able to volunteer at Emlyn’s preschool for her Christmas party last week which was awesome. I led craft time and Andrew did story time. The kids were so much fun and Emlyn was tickled to have us there. We know how important it is for parents to get involved afters years of doing youth ministry. We were glad to help her teachers and make an exciting memory for Emlyn.
We had my sisters kids come stay with us and bake cookies.I have longed to do stuff like that since Em was born. Living in Ohio makes that a reality now! We went to the zoo lights together, looked at lights in the neighborhoods, baked cookies, and did some Christmas shopping. The kids had fun and Emlyn loves her cousins. I sure love seeing them play together!
Emlyn had her first friend over from preschool and they played so well. We finessed the day off with a trip to Chick-fil-a! got a new princess castle for christmas and she just loves it! So fun!
Christmas Day we went to Andrew’s mom and sisters and opened presents and had brunch. Then we headed to my parents for my families Christmas. The whole day we stayed in our pi’s and it was the best! One of Emlyn’s presents was a princess castle. I love that she takes books in there and reads. The picture on the top left is my parents dog Shelby. She is wild and semi obnoxious but I still love her!
Overall we have been staying pretty busy which is GOOD! I have a lot of things on my mind and we have so many unknowns in the future but I have a feeling we are right on the cusp of something. Here is to hoping next week is healthier and praying for some breakthrough for us! 2016… I know you are going to be crazy but I know it is going to be good too! Here we go!
Sharing, serving, and celebrating,
