Post Processing {Before and After}

I mentioned in a previous post how post-processing is a BIG way to enhance the quality of your photos. For me, it was the last thing that clicked. I still have much to grow in this area but the improovement thus far is worth so much!

What changed?

Now we use the expo disc which allows all of our images to be properly exposed and the white balance to be completely on point. It has saved me TONS of time in post processing and was the first step in the right direction for our improvement with editing.

I always used ACR- Adobe Camera Raw before and then switched to Lightroom. The sliders were mostly the same but I found the workflow was much quicker for me in Lightroom. If you dont use Lightroom, try it!

I love this thing! Alien Skin is a plug in for Lightroom or for Photoshop. I use mine in Photoshop. It has some sweet tools to add bokeh, textures, and the contrast option is the best I have found. I love that you can add some sun flare. This plugin can be TOO much though! I rarely use all of the textures and crazy filters. I like our images to look natural but this program definitely gave our photos the punch I was looking for.

Here are some before and afters from the second wedding I ever shot. I look back at these photos and I am still very proud of them. I am proud that I knew what I was doing at my second wedding and I was confident in my skills and knowledge of my equipment. What I see more than anything is a lack of editing knowledge. See for yourself!

Bottom is AFTER and TOP is before.
